Instructions for downloading the Microsoft® Excel file

System Requirements: Microsoft Excel 98 or higher.

The Healthcare Leadership Alliance (HLA) Competency Directory is an Excel file. You will need Microsoft Excel 98 or newer on your PC.

1. Print this page to assist you in downloading the HLA Competency Directory.
2. Select the link: "HLA Competency Directory."
3. When the File Download dialog box appears and asks, “Do you want to open or save this file?” select Save.
4. When the SaveAs dialog box appears, select a location on your computer's hard drive (the desktop or a folder) using the Save in dropdown box.
5. Select Save and note where you saved the file for future reference.
6. DO NOT attempt to change the settings or formatting of the Excel file. Tampering with the design of the Directory may distort the results or usability of the Directory.

If you encounter an error, it is possible your computer's security settings are set too high to download an Excel document. To decrease your security setting:

• Select Tools from your browser program’s menu
• In the dropdown list, select Macros, then Security
• Left click the Medium setting and select OK

Alternately, your computer’s firewall or other security programs may be set too high to permit downloading an Excel document.
